It was a great shock to me that my first business dinner of the trip was not local food... Generally when I travel overseas alone, we have some sort of mandarin or Cantonese or HK style food. But, tonight, my good buddy and business associate Ken wanted to try this Italian place his friend recommended. Ken, Douglas, Kelvin and I also shared the bruschetta and salmon carpaccio, and each had a soup (either funghi or lobster bisque).
The chef at Pane e Vino is the former chef to the Italian prime minister, and he did not dissapoint. The mango panna cotta alone was worth the trip.
*** Bonus points for: serving diet coke (hard to find here because the Chinese are, rightfully so, wary of the artificial sweeteners)
*** More bonus points for: a kitten that hung out with us while we dined in the garden
